What is a 3D areola tattoo? A 3D areola tattoo is a method that can be used to create an image of a nipple with dimensional shading through pigmentation from tattoo inks. This technique creates visual realism to restore nipple pigmentation.
Who can benefit from 3D areola tattoing? This service is appropriate for breast cancer survivors who wish to have the finishing touch applied to their breast reconstruction or any patients who have lost a nipple or have altered nipples/areola.
What are the risks? Risks are minimal. A patient might have mild swelling and mild discomfort during the procedure.
What should you expect at your appointment? You will either arrive to my studio or you will be escorted to a procedure room (depending on how you booked your appointment). You will be made comfortable as your artist discusses your options for pigment colors and placement of the areolas. Once placement and colors have been decided, the procedure will be completed. The artist will provide you with aftercare instructions. Careful attention to post-care will ensure the best possible outcome of your 3D areolas.
How much is the procedure? It is $400 for a unilateral areola and $700 for bilateral areolas.
